Blush Nightclub Brings Style, Light to Burlingame's Nightlife. New Lounge Now Open Features FUN Display's Creative, Energetic Interior Highlighting Programmable Lighting Design

Proprietor Rob Doss is pleased to announce that Blush Nightclub, the newest and most stylish club ever seen in Burlingame, is now open. Featuring interior design by Charles Doell of FUN Display and the renowned sound and lighting specialist, RUTHERFORD DESIGN-- known for acclaimed projects such as Backflip, Red Room, Mercury, Zodiac Club and Sno-Drift, the 6,000 square foot space is sure to inspire with a profusion of programmable lighting located beneath the floors, under staircases, and strategically placed along the mezzanine rail, illuminating a heady combination of mod, Gothic and psychedelic motifs. Recognizing the power of a club atmosphere to provide release, excitement and escape, Doell and FUN Display and Rutherford Design have created an atmosphere that is thoroughly comforting and yet intriguingly unfamiliar.

"We wanted to create the type of environment that would provide a fantastical and intriguing venue for release, escape and enjoyment," said Doss of the design. "Utilizing lighting and color as a major focus in the design, we were successful in creating a sexy and heady atmosphere that people in Burlingame and the greater Bay Area have been waiting for..." added Doell.

The multi-level venue has been completely redesigned by FUN Display, and features a two-story, floor-to-ceiling wall of 1,000 sandblasted martini glasses. Lighting -- the predominant design element -- is enabled by a monolithically controlled ambient system that runs from outside to inside, a computer controlled fantasy of colored visuals. In addition, a cascading tumble of mirror balls descend upon glass tables housing dimmed vintage chandeliers, reinforcing the guest's perception of an ever-changing experience. Walnut flooring and bars, cement walls, and steel present a dichotomy of the sleek and the raw, while the beamed ceiling and custom seating upholstered with vibrant shades of wool serve as solid counterpoints to the artful kinetics of the light show.

In the women's bathrooms, black hexagonal tiling and flower motifs enhance the Gothic and psychedelic themes. The women's restroom features modern versions of bevel-carved mirrors and a clear, Deco vanity atop a skid-proof mirrored floor. Using di-chroic filters in the glass, the men's bathroom mirrors reflect three- dimensional silhouettes of the viewer, adding to the club's ethereal ambiance.

Blush can accommodate a total 400 guests, with seating for 50 at the downstairs bar. The upstairs lounge area includes three semi-private suites, featuring a separate area on the second level available for private parties that can accommodate up to 200 guests. Our dazzling menu of specialty cocktails include signature drinks such as; Crimson Blush, Pearlescent Potion and South Beach Tea. In addition, we accomodate outside catering for private events.

Blush presents the best local and national D.J.'s spinning hip-hop, club hits, dancehall, Top 40's and urban grooves Thursday through Saturday 10pm to 2am. Friday and Saturday night parties are hosted by a weekly rotation of San Francisco and the Bay Area's most elite D.J.'s. (Pricing depends on events) Blush presents Karaoke every Wednesday 9pm to 12 midnight, featuring the largest data base of songs in the Bay Area. Comedy Night is held every 4th Saturday from 7pm to 10pm, featuring rotating Headlining Comics.
